The med-tech world has over-complicated their products geared towards hospital systems and the pharmaceutical world which has led to products being OVERPRICED. PureUV®’s mission is to produce simple, high powered, and easy-to-use solutions that any organization can AFFORD. Good enough for hospitals, but made for schools, offices, and small businesses alike.
PureUV® has a manufacturing facility in Frankfort, KY and offices in Louisville, KY. Our customers and users can rest assured that our products are being made and assembled in Kentucky. Shipped from the same facility under constant supervision.
As companies across the country scramble to adjust to the “new normal” that has been presented to them, Lexington based startup Pure UV has set out to help people stay healthy in their return to daily life. Pure UV is focused on creating germicidal UVC light solutions that provide clean air, surfaces, and spaces for schools, municipalities, restaurants, and every business in between.
Pure UV’s beginnings sprouted from their founders facing the stark realities that the pandemic presented to the real estate development and construction business. As their pipelines began to dry up, the looming possibility of layoffs seemed likely. At the same time, a few of Lexington’s large companies started to take this route, most notably, laying off their engineers. It was then that the founders went all in and started Pure UV to face the problem head-on by providing products and services that would tackle the direct and indirect issues caused by a public health crisis. In doing so, they not only kept their employees gainfully employed but went out and hired the engineering talent laid off by other, larger firms and this snowballed into the development of a line of UVC products.
Pure UV’s first product is the CleanCoil, an HVAC air purification system that eradicates up to 99.99% of viruses, bacteria, and mold from the air being circulated in your duct system and is sold to everyone from homeowners to large school systems. The rest of their product line includes a mobile room sterilizer that can be placed in any space that requires air and surface disinfection as well as offering custom UVC product builds for a large range of customers. On the service side, the company offers on-demand UVC sanitization combined with EPA approved chemical fogging which has expanded into numerous markets throughout Kentucky. This dual-pronged approach results in complete disinfection that manual cleaning alone does not provide.
Pure UV did not expect the immediate success they have had but are by no means surprised by the support they have received from the great city of Lexington and the people of Central Kentucky. The company is proud to be based in Lexington and hopes to continue to grow and keep Kentuckians employed to serve as a testament to the state’s innovation and hard work when faced with a complex challenge.
